Accessibility statement

What we aim for

This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice that means:

• Readable textBody text starts at 18 pixels, and all text meets or exceeds the required contrast against its background.
• Keyboard operableEverything on this site can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
• Screen reader friendlyProper headings, landmarks, form labels and descriptions, and a skip link to jump straight to the main content.
• Motion you can turn offIf your device is set to reduce motion, all animation on this site is disabled automatically.
• Zoom and resizeThe site works when zoomed to 200% and adapts to your text size settings. We never block pinch-zoom.
• Big enough to tapAll buttons and links are at least 44 by 44 pixels, with space between them.
• Never colour aloneWe never rely on colour by itself to communicate something. There is always a label, icon or shape as well.
• Plain EnglishWe write without jargon wherever we can, and explain NDIS terms when we have to use them.

Getting our information another way

If anything on this site does not work for you, we will provide the same information in a different format: large print, Easy Read, over the phone, or in person. We can arrange interpreters, including Auslan. There is no charge for any of this and you do not need to explain why you need it.

Tell us what is broken

If you hit a barrier on this site, please tell us what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what device or assistive technology you were using. That is enough for us to reproduce it and fix it. Email info@myaid.com.au.

Known limitations

Our therapy referral form is hosted by a third-party practice management system. We have less control over its accessibility than we do over the rest of this site. If you have difficulty with it, ring us and we will complete the referral with you over the phone.
